Four booked for disobeying quarantine rules in Samba | KNO

Samba, May 28 (KNO): At least four persons were booked by the police for disobeying the quarantine rules set by the government in Samba district. Officials told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that Samba Police has booked four persons under relevant sections at Police Station Samba, Police Station Vijaypur Police Station Bari Brahmana for disobeying quarantine rules and not reporting to their designated Administrative Quarantine Center. All the four persons were checked at Lakhanpur corridor on May 26, 2020 by concerned authorities and were asked to report at Administrative Quarantine Centre Thandi Khui, Vijaypur. “But, they violated the quarantine rules and didn’t report at their designated quarantine centre,” officials said They identified the two among them as Mintu Singh, son of Gora Singh and Sonu Singh, son of Gursewak Singh of Moga, Punjab, who are employees of IGC phase-II, SIDCO Samba, adding that they were booked at Police Station Samba under FIR number 135/2020 under section 269/270/188 IPC. Officials said third person identified as Chetan Singh, son of Gurnam Singh of Shiv Nagar, Vijaypur was booked at Police Station Vijaypur under FIR number 93/2020 under section 269, 271, 188 IPC, 51 (b) Disaster Management Act. They added that the fourth person identified as Ajay Kumar, son of Nirmal Singh of Kangra, Himachal Pardesh A/P Dhyansar, Kartholi, Bari Brahmana was booked at Police Station Bari Brahmana under FIR number 115/2020 under section 270, 188 IPC, 51 Disaster Management Act. “Delinquent persons know that the disease is dangerous to life but despite that they negligently or deliberately have done this act by disobeying the quarantine rules, putting the lives of others at risk. All the said four persons have been traced out and put to administrative quarantine center Thandi Khui, Vijaypur immediately with the help of Health Department,” officials said –(KNO)
